Progress in Epidemiology (PE) is an open-access, peer-reviewed online journal dedicated to rapid publication of articles about epidemiologic research which encompasses all aspects of epidemiology and public health. PE provides an international forum for the communication among researchers engaged in the field of both epidemiologically communicable and non-communicable disease, including but not limited to health services and medical care.
PE is primarily devoted to publishing a broad range of high-quality original research papers on epidemiology in various fields related to human health, including but not exclusive to neuroepidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, cancer epidemiology, psychiatric epidemiology, ophthalmic epidemiology, environmental epidemiology, dentistry and oral epidemiology, pediatric and perinatal epidemiology. PE accepts multifarious topics including but not limited to public health, preventive medicine, clinical medicine, health economics, and computational biology and data science applied to health and disease.
PE publishes not only original research contributions, methodological reviews and cases, but also publishes editorials, hypotheses and letters to editors as appropriate. The research may involve nonclinical or clinical studies and may utilize both in vivo, ex vivo or in vitro approaches.
