Dr Janne Estill is a leading scholar renowned internationally in the fields of epidemiology, mathematical modeling, and evidence-based medicine. He possesses a profound multi-disciplinary academic background and has over 15 years of experience as a senior researcher and project leader at top-tier academic institutions, including the University of Geneva. Dr Estill has authored 133 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 37 of which as first, corresponding, or last author. His publications have a cumulative impact factor of 838, an H-index of 33, and have been cited over 3,900 times. Several of his research findings have been published in top-tier journals such as The Lancet series, the Annals of Internal Medicine, and the BMJ series. Beyond his prolific research output, Dr Janne Estill is actively engaged in academic service, holding editorial positions at several journals. He is dedicated to translating advanced quantitative research methods into practical guidelines that influence global health policy. As a principal investigator or co-project leader, he has successfully directed and completed multiple major research projects funded by internationally renowned institutions such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank, the World Health Organization, and the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health.

Dr. Wu has dedicated over twenty years to the fields of organ transplantation and immune tolerance, possessing profound foundational research expertise and extensive clinical practice experience. He has held academic appointments including member of the Clinical Research Group under the Medical Research Management Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and standing committee member of the Scientific Research Laboratory Construction and Management Branch of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Association.

Dr. Wu boasts a distinguished international research background. He early conducted research on donor cold preservation at the University of Essen in Germany, and later pursued postdoctoral research on immune tolerance induction at the University of Louisville in the United States. From 2023 to 2024, he served as a Research Fellow at the University of Missouri, focusing on islet immune tolerance studies. He is currently engaged in clinical work related to organ transplantation at the LifeCenter Northwest in the United States.

Having long focused on cutting-edge areas of transplant immunology, Dr. Wu has presided over or participated in more than 10 research projects, including those funded by the Chinese National Natural Science Foundation and various ministerial/provincial-level programs. He has authored or co-authored over 50 SCI-indexed academic papers as first or corresponding author, and contributed to two professional books. These efforts represent systematic academic contributions to the mechanisms of transplant immunology and their clinical translation.

Professor Xian-Tao Zeng is now the director of Department of Evidence-Based Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology, Second Clinical College of Wuhan University; executive deputy director of Center for Evidence-Based and Translational Medicine, Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University; and deputy director of Center for Evidence-Based and Translational Medicine, Wuhan University. His research filed covered evidence-based medicine, clinical epidemiology, translational research about disease mechanism, and association between oral/gut microbiota and systemic diseases (especially urological diseases).

Professor Zeng has published more than 200 academic papers in peer-reviewed journals as first or corresponding author, such as Proc Natl Acad Sci, Mil Med Res, Cell Death Differ, Cell Death Dis, Semin Cancer Biol, J Nanobiotechnology, Nano Res, eClinicalMedicine, Med Res Rev, Int J Cancer, J Clin Periodontol, Microbiol Spectr, J Clin Epidemiol, BMC Public Health, Environ Pollut, J Evid Based Med, et.al. Now he has an H-index of 39 and a total of 9508 times cited in the Web of Science Core Collection. He is the Elsevier’s Most Cited Chinese Researchers (2023, 2024), the Elsevier and Standford University’s Top2% Scientists “Single Year” list (2020-2025) and “Career Long” list (2023-2025).

Professor Zhang currently serves as the Director of the Department of Epidemiology and Health Statistics at Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, with sixteen years of experience in teaching and research in the fields of epidemiology and health statistics. He has worked extensively on disease prevention and control research, developing a distinct focus on the health effects of selenium, and has systematically investigated the molecular mechanisms and epidemiological evidence of selenoproteins in bone and joint diseases, heart failure, and tumors.


Professor Zhang holds several academic positions, including Standing Committee Member of the International Society for Selenium - China Youth Selenium Research Committee, and Standing Council Member of the Real-World Research Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. He has presided over more than ten research projects, including key research and development programs commissioned by the Ministry of Education of China and the Department of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province.


He has published numerous academic papers in high-level SCIE journals and has been honored with several provincial and ministerial-level scientific awards, including the Second Prize of the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the Second Prize of the Gansu Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.

Professor Su is a distinguished hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgeon and prolific researcher, currently serving as the Vice Director of the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery at the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University. With an MD and postdoctoral training from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, Professor Su has established himself as a leader in the field. His clinical expertise lies in complex minimally invasive surgeries for hepatobiliary-pancreatic tumors, while his research focuses on the pathogenesis and clinical translation of liver, bile duct, and pancreatic cancers. He is also at the forefront of exploring applications of medical artificial intelligence in surgery. Having led over 20 national and provincial-level research projects, he has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed papers, including 41 SCI publications with a highest impact factor of 30.5.

Dr. Liu focuses on clinical practice guidelines and evidence-based evaluation. His international academic experience includes research visits to the University of Geneva and McMaster University, two globally recognized institutions in evidence-based medicine. As a secretariat member of the Scientificity, Transparency, and Applicability Ranking (STAR) Working Group for guidelines, he actively contributes to advancing methodological standards in guideline development. With practical involvement in 17 clinical guidelines led by prestigious national institutions including the National Center for Infectious Diseases and various professional committees of the Chinese Medical Association, he has gained substantial experience in bridging research evidence with clinical practice. His academic output includes over 70 publications, with 24 as first or co-first author, along with contributions to five books as co-author or translator, demonstrating his active engagement in knowledge dissemination and methodological advancement in evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Long is an attending physician in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of University of South China and a Ph.D. candidate in Data Science at the City University of Macau. As a clinician-scientist with a distinctive interdisciplinary background that bridges clinical medicine and data science, his research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, particularly in bariatric and metabolic surgery, medical image segmentation, and multimodal medical data fusion. His research findings have been published in reputable international journals such as World Journal of Diabetes, American Journal of Cancer Research, and Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, with several publications as first or corresponding author. Dr. Long's integrated expertise in clinical practice and quantitative methodology positions him at the forefront of AI-driven medical research.

Dr. Lei Yang has a strong background in public health, nursing, and environmental health. His research focuses on epidemiology and evidence-based practice, particularly in the areas of perinatal mental health, occupational health, and chronic disease mechanisms. He has extensive experience in designing and leading large-scale epidemiological studies and randomized controlled trials. Dr. Yang has led and contributed to numerous research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shaanxi Provincial Key Research Programs, and various international collaborations.


Dr. Yang has published more than 50 high-impact peer-reviewed articles in international journals such as Journal of Affective Disorders, Psychiatry Research, BMC Psychology, and Osteoarthritis Cartilage. His work integrates quantitative and qualitative methods to address mental health disparities and promote evidence-based nursing and public health interventions. He also contributes to national health education and policy as a member of several academic and professional committees.

Professor Chao Luo is Director of the Central Laboratory and Deputy Director of the Medical Testing Center at the Affiliated Huaian No.1 People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. He has 15 years of teaching and research experience in oncology, with a long-standing focus on how modulation of the tumor microenvironment influences tumorigenesis and therapy.


Professor Luo serves as a standing committee member of the Youth Committee of the Jiangsu Society for Immunology and as a standing committee member of the Circulating Tumor Cell Group of the Translational Medicine Branch of the Microcirculation Society, among other academic appointments. He has led more than ten research projects, including a General Program grant from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and key research and development programs  from Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology.


He has published over 20 high-impact papers in journals such as Nature Microbiology, Nature Communications, Molecular Cancer, and JAMA Network Open. His work has been recognized with multiple provincial and ministerial science awards, including the Third Prize of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award.

Dr. Luo currently serves as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University. In terms of academic background, he earned his PhD from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, where his research concentrated on kidney allograft preservation, laying a solid foundation for organ transplantation studies. Following this, Dr. Luo undertook postdoctoral training at the University of Missouri in the United States, specializing in immune tolerance mechanisms for islet and heart transplantation, which highlights his expertise in transplant immunology.


Dr. Luo has authored more than 20 publications in various international journals, demonstrating his prolific research output and scholarly impact. His work integrates key areas such as transplant immunology, organ preservation techniques, and evidence-based medicine, all aimed at improving outcomes in surgical and transplant care through interdisciplinary approaches.

Dr. Yang is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained his basic and master’s medical qualifications from Lanzhou University (China) and received PhD training in environmental epidemiology under a joint PhD program between Lanzhou University and Yale University, funded by the China Scholarship Council. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at Brown University and the University of Hong Kong, and completed advanced training in diabetes clinical trial design and health economics at the University of Oxford. His research interests focus on pharmacoepidemiology of diabetes, environmental epidemiology, and the development of clinical tools for diabetes care using real-world data and larger prospective cohort studies.
