Progress in Laboratory Medicine (PLM) is a an open-access, peer-reviewed online journal dedicated to the rapid publication of articles on various aspects of laboratory medicine, including chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunology, cytology, molecular diagnostics, histology, and laboratory administration and management. Research from experts in this field will offer key insights in the areas of medical laboratory science, reflecting world-wide issues and perspectives.

PLM is working to show the latest developments in the clinical laboratory sciences, provide excellence in choice, performance or interpretation of tests and disseminate guidance on sciences of medical laboratory area.

PLM primarily publishes original research contributions, methodological reviews and cases, and also publishes editorials, hypotheses and letters to editors as appropriate. The research may involve nonclinical or clinical studies.
